CCMC157 and Stamping 411 160

This little CAS card takes care of 2 challenges--Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge and Stamping 411 color challenge.  I used 2 cool summer stamp sets, Sunny Fun and Summer Splash to create this card.  I add some sparkle with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol and spritzed onto the card base and pacific point scalloped layer.  Very shimmery IRL!

Color Round Up 37 and Try Stamping on Tuesday

I took care of 2 challenges with this little card using the retiring (sniff, sniff) A Flower For All Seasons.  I really love this little set.

I used the colors from this week's Color Round Up and a sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday.   This image worked perfectly for both challenges.  As I was getting ready to write up my post, it occurred to me that I could have used the new chocolate chip dotted scallop ribbon instead of the cardstock strips.  Too bad I didn't think of it earlier.  Oh well--I rather like how this one turned out.  Hope you enjoy seeing it too.

Color Round Up #37

I Won the Color Round Up!

Just found out that I won the Color Round Up badge for this card.  That's exciting.  Hopefully I can find time today to do a project for the new Color Round Up challenge found here.

SSC209

I've been a busy girl!  This is my third post today.  You can see the others here and here.

I love the sketch at Stamping 411 today.  A nice blocked-background and a circle for one of my favorite stamps from the summer mini, The Open Sea.

I used some Nautical Expedition dsp and the ship's log stamped image for my background.  The ship and ship's log were stamped with soft suede and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped with not quite navy.

SFF062411 and CCMC156

This is my second post today!  My other post is HERE.

This card uses a sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday and a color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  I had a really hard time getting a good photo of this one.  Even using a lightbox and taking a dozen shots!

Printed Petals was the stamp set I used and the dsp is Paisley Petals.

PPA99 CAS Happy 4th

Pals Paper Arts challenge calls for a CAS with stars.

I layered some real red stripes onto whisper white and layered that onto pacific point.  I ran it through the Big Shot with the square lattice embossing folder.  This was my first time trying this technique.  Very nice, but I know to use just a little more glue next time! LOL!

I added some night of navy and a whisper white star with a gold brad at the top left to look like a flag.  I stamped the sentiment from July Fourth onto daffodil delight and punched it out with the curly label punch.

SFF061711 and Stamping 411Color Inspiration 159-Sneak Peek!

I've been wanting to ink up Snow Much Fun every since I got it.  I love the images from this set, which will be available on July 1.

I used the sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday and the color challenge from Stamping 411.  I forgot to put the brads on before I attached the basic gray piece, so I just added them to 1/2" circles of cherry cobbler and attached them with glue dots.  I love the CAS design of this sketch and the colors from the challenge fit perfect with this image.

Happy Birthday to my Daughter!

Touch of Kindness is my daughter's favorite stamp set in the summer mini.  I colored the cat to look like her cat, Callie Jo.

Her birthday was on Sunday, and I am actually writing this post on her birthday, but will schedule it to go out at noon tomorrow.  We are meeting in Zanesville with her and her fiance to celebrate both Father's Day and her birthday.  I don't want her to see it before she sees it in person.  Last year I wasn't thinking clearly and posted her card before she got it.  She called me laughing about it.  Not going to happen this year!!!  LOL

PP52

I have been looking at Nature Silhouettes for some time. I finally broke down and bought this set. I decided it would make a good father's day card for my husband.  I used the CAS sketch from Paper Players.

I tried my hand at brayering for the first time and I would say I need a lot of practice! LOL  I tried using my basic black classic ink for the images but could not get a good stamped image.  I used the trusty old Stazon to get a good stamp.  I matted the image panel with old olive and attached that to bashful blue that had been embossed with the square lattice embossing folder.  I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched it out with the word window punch and attached it to a piece of old olive that was punched with the modern label punch.  I attached this with dimensionals, then attached it all to a basic black card base.

PPA98 and CRU36 Delicate Doilies

Spent the day yesterday with good friends at Amish Country.  Lots of shopping and eating and lots of fun!

I am taking care of 2 challenges at once today with this card.  I used the sketch at Pals Paper Arts and the Color Roundup challenge.  I punched out the lace ribbon border (sneak peek) in old olive and attached it to a card base of daffodil delight.  I stamped a doily from Delicate Doilies in daffodil delight and one in night of navy onto whisper white.  I cut out the center of the navy one and attached it to the daffodil one with a dimensional.  Added a pearl to the cent of the doily.  The image panel was matted with night of navy.  Yellow floss was tied through a navy button and attached to the panel.  The sentiment comes from On Your Birthday.

CCMC-SUM04 Proud Peacock

I used some older Stampin' Up products on my card today.  There is a little of the old taken with teal ink and cardstock and that strip of dsp is from the Welcome Neighbor pack.  There is also a little bit of elegant eggplant on there. That wonderful peacock is from Proud Peacock.  Isn't he glorious?  I added just a little watercoloring to his wings.

I used a sketch from Create with Connie and Mary (a subscriber-only site).  They have lots of wonderful projects in this 5-week session.  You really should check them out.

If it seems like all I am making lately is birthday cards, well that is because my neighbor gave me a list of all the birthday cards she needs for the next 3 months.  I try to keep embellishments to a minimum so they won't cost her anymore in postage.  Also, CAS is my favorite style.

Paper Players #51 and Mojo Monday #195

This was created for the Paper Players color challenge and for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  I don't believe I have ever participated in these 2 challenges before.  Love this sketch and the bright colors!  I used Touch of Kindness again today and colored the cat image to look like my little guy.

I would love to hear what you think about my card.  Thanks for looking!

Sweet Get Well card

My neighbor asked for a get well card.  I had A Touch of Kindness which had not seen any ink yet.  So I used the birdbath image and this nice sketch from Try Stamping on Tuesday.  I used markers and blender pens to color the image.  I am still having trouble either with my camera or my monitor.  My greens always seem to have a grayish cast to them.

SAH173 Scrapbook Challenge

I created this page in MDS for the Stampaholics challenge. The challenge is to create a page showing start to finish (school year, baby's first year, etc).  There is a sketch to follow.  And we have to do it in 30 minutes!  I finished in about 27 minutes.

I do the main bulletin board for our high school library.  This page shows 3 boards throughout the year.

CCMC154 My Friend

This is my second post today.  That is almost unheard of for me!  But now that I am off for the summer I have more time to play.

This card is for the color challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary.  We are to use River Rock, Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo.  It is a very, very simple card.  Sneak peak! I used My Friend which will be available on July 1st in the new IBC.

PPA97 Cherish Friendship

I got new toys today!!!  I've been waiting patiently (?) for this all week.

The PPA challenge for this week is to use your signature style.  Well that was an easy decision for me.  I love Clean and Simple style in my design and I also love to color my images.  Cherish Friendship (available on July 1) worked quite well for my card for this challenge.
I used all but one of the new In Colors. I have to say I really like this year's new colors.  I liked the ones last year but this year--even better. I used mostly In Color markers to color the flowers. I also used the new lace border punch. It is almost impossible to see in the photo, but I put a circle of Calypso Coral behind the filligree brad on the sentiment banner.

I had fun with all the new stuff I used today. Thanks for looking!

CCMC-SUM03 and SSC206

This card fullfills 2 challenges!  The color challenge is from Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition (a subscriber-only site filled with lots of wonderful ideas using products from the Stampin' Up Summer Mini).

I also used the sketch challenge at Stamping 411 ( shown below).

Love these bright cheery colors!  I just wish I could get a better photo of the wild wasabi.  It always seems to look too grayish on my monitor.

Thanks for looking!

Fun Summer card

Love the images from Sunny Fun!  Great for watercoloring or, as in this case, embossing with the bright new colors of embossing powder.  I used tangerine tango on these cute flipflops.

CCMC153 Birthday Fun!

I made this fun card for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  These little kids from Recess are so cute.

Now that school is out, I am hoping to be able to get more stamping done.
