Swallowtail

I love this huge butterfly!  I heat embossed the image onto watercolor paper with black embossing powder.  I used my aqua brush and ink refills to bring this butterfly to life.  I added some ribbon and a sentiment, matted the image and glued it to my card base and it's done.  It didn't take very long to create and I have to say I really like it.  You could use a lot of different color combos on this card.

CCMC-002 Sketch

This card was created for the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary Spring Edition 2013, a subscriber-only site.  I used More Amore dsp, Hearts a Flutter and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  I am not too sure that I am completely happy with this one.  Seems just a little flat to me.  Perhaps it will grow on me!

Edited to add:  Oops!  I forgot to say that is card also fulfills the Pals Paper Arts color combo, PPA152.  Sorry!

Old Card Updated

I made this card when Abundant Hope came out.  Without getting out my old catalogs I can't remember when that was!  This was used in one of my workshops.

I came across 4 sets of supplies that were left over from then.  I decided to use 4 current sets to use up those supplies.

This one uses the Madison Avenue set found in the Sale-a-bration brochure.  I embossed the background with the Vine Street embossing folder, also in the SAB brochure.

Here I used Million-Dollar Moments, a hostess set from the Spring catalog.

And here we have Secret Garden from the Spring catty.  The flower was cut with the matching framelit.  So easy!

Serene Silhouettes comes from the 2012-2013 catalog.  I love the beautiful images in this set.

A Little Spring would be Bloomin' Marvelous!

I made this card last week for one of the challenges (can't remember which one now) but life got in the way and I never got it posted.  It looks so springy!  Today it is so cold and we got enough snow last night to get us a snow day, so this card really makes me wish for May or at least April.   I used Bloomin' Marvelous which is free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration (going on now until Mar. 22).  It is a fun set.  DSP is from the Print Poetry paper stack in the Spring catalog.  Love this set of papers!

PP130

I was going for a nice masculine card using the sketch from The Paper Players.  Not completely happy with it.  I just got the set Blue Ribbon not too long ago and decided to ink it up today.  The dsp is from the Print Poetry paper stack found in the Spring catalog.  The Natural Trim ribbon is from the same catalog.

Thanks for looking!
