TTTC05 - Emerging Color Technique

Getting this one in as the last minute!  The challenge at The Technique Twist is emerging color.  I have done this once before so this one is not totally new to me as the other challenges have been.

My twist is that I used strips of different colors for the base of my design.  I used tangerine tango, pumpkin pie and daffodil delight and stamped En Francais with early espresso onto the strips.  Then I stamped Sunflower with Versamark and clear embossing powder.  After heat setting my sunflower image I brayered early espresso over the top of the whole layer.  Then I gently wiped over the embossed image with a tissue and out popped my sunflower with the French text.  I just added some retired ribbon and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

CCMC-002 Sketch

This card was created for the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary Spring Edition 2013, a subscriber-only site.  I used More Amore dsp, Hearts a Flutter and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  I am not too sure that I am completely happy with this one.  Seems just a little flat to me.  Perhaps it will grow on me!

Edited to add:  Oops!  I forgot to say that is card also fulfills the Pals Paper Arts color combo, PPA152.  Sorry!

PCCCS #11

My neighbor needed  a couple of birthday cards so I turned to the sketch from Paper Craft Crew for inspiration.  Love the simplicity of this sketch.

CCMC 207 and CCMC-NC1

Before I got my card done for the Create with Connie & Mary sketch challenge, I found this color challenge on the paid subscription site for the new catalog.  I decided to combine the two challenges together.  I used some Comfort Cafe dsp and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and that wonderful pool party ruffled ribbon.  I made a 3D flower with a new natural button and a large pearl center to round out my card.

Paper Players Sketch #88 & CCMC195

On today's card I used a sketch from the Paper Players and a color combo from Create with Connie & Mary.  My neighbor needed a birthday card for a man and I thought these colors and the sketch both went well with the eagle from In Wilderness.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The dsp and ribbon are retired.  One thing I wish I could change would be to have the knot on the other side to balance out the poppy sentiment piece.  But I don't want that change enough to try to take the card apart!

TSSC181 and Color Round Up 38

This is my last post for today!  This card is for the sketch at Techno Stamper and for the color challenge at Rubber Redneck.

When I looked at these colors I wasn't sure how I was going to use all of them and have anything that looked good.  So I played with the colors on MDS and finally came up with something I liked.

I had never made one of the circle flowers so decided to give that a try.  It was not really hard, just took a little extra time.  But with the simple sketch the card came together pretty quickly.  My husband seemed to really like it.  I think I do too!

Thanks for looking!

SC349 and CCMC158

I haven't done a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers for a long time.  Don't know why really...just haven't gotten around to it I guess.  This card is for SC340 and also for the color challenge found at Create with Connie and Mary.

I used Just Believe and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Paisley Trees

I made a card today using my new Paisley Prints.  I stamped the 2 background trees in Pear Pizzazz and stamped the other tree in Old Olive on another piece of cardstock. I cut it out and put it up on dimensionals. I embossed the retired Ruby Red with the square lattice embossing folder. I added some Pear Pizzazz ribbon and sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
