Thoughts & Prayers Get Well

This week seemed to go on forever. I was very tired by the end of the day yesterday.  I hope next week doesn't seem so long.  But I do have Wednesday off for Parent/Teacher conferences and having a day off in the middle of the week usually means a strange, long week.

My neighbor needed a couple of get well cards and this is the first one I came up with. I used some retired dsp and a baja breeze corduroy button on it and double mounted my image panel.  Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some more projects.

Brick Wall Technique

I watched a video on the brick wall technique a couple days ago. I wanted to give credit, but can't for the life of me remember who did the video.  It was a very well done video and I got around to trying it this afternoon. I used the same stamp and colors on the wall part.  Don't remember what the rest of her card was like, so hope mine is different. My husband watched me for a little while and said it looked like too much work to him. Have to agree, it will not be something I will do all that often, but I really like the results even if my bricks started going a little crooked about halfway through.

Thanks for stopping by!

Edited:  I found it!  The video is by Donna from Butternut Sage Designs. Thanks, Donna, for the wonderful video tutorial.

PPA61 Come to Bethlehem

This simple card was created for the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge.  I love this stamp and will probably make a lot of Christmas Cards with it.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Witch Way is the Candy?

I think Fangtastic is a really cute little stamp set.  I am not sure how I feel about this card, yet.  Maybe it will grow on me.  I think it needs a little brightening up.  I did put some dazzling diamonds on the stars on the little witch's dress (see close-up below).

Merry Crittermas!

This the last of our three cards for this month.   I used the Merry Crittermas stamp set, the Northern Flurry embossing folder, and the Candy Cane Christmas Designer Fabric-all from the new holiday mini. The fabric was torn in strips to use for ribbon.  Rhinestones from the IBC were added in the corners of the image and in the middle of the embossed snowflake.

Dark & Dreary Halloween

This is another card we made in our group this month. Dark & Dreary stamp set, the waffle paper and the scalloped square duo bigz die are all in the new holiday mini.  Bring on the Bats wheel is from the IBC.

This is one of the cards we made in our group the other night.  A card for a child had been requested.  Pun Fun is one of my favorite sets to make children's cards with.  At first I thought it was a little too plain, but now I rather like the simplicity of it.

DC19 Amish Country Page

This page was created in My Digital Studio for the Soul Scrapper's sketch challenge found here.  I liked this sketch and saved it as a template in MDS so I can use it again and again.

Come to Bethlehem

I am sorry it has been so long since I last posted.  I had to go back to school on Aug. 17 and I never seem to get anything else accomplished as I ease back into work.  Finally had a little extra time this weekend so I did a little stamping.  I had some left over supplies already cut for a card (shown below) that my group made last year.  So I used them with my new stamp set, Come to Bethlehem.  Here is the recipe:

Stamps:  Come to Bethlehem
Paper:  whisper white, night of navy, brushed silver
Ink:  Versamark
Extras:  Silver embossing powder, dimensionals

Here is the card we made last year:
