CCMCSUM13 01 and CC432

I just got Wetlands and Sweet Essentials yesterday and had to use them in the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary Summer Edition (subscription only site and you can still subscribe).  I used a color combo from a couple weeks ago from Splitcoast Stampers.  I haven't done a challenge from SCS for a very long time.  Haven't done too many challenges at all lately except for some MDS challenges.

CCMC215 & Nacho Average Challenge #8

I love the challenges from Nacho Average Challenges and Create with Connie & Mary this week.  I have been wanting to put some ink to this image from Full of Blessings.  You can find this beautiful set in the Holiday catalog on page 32.  One of my favorite techniques is water coloring so this was a must-have set for me.  And I love how this turned out today.  I learned how to make the 3-D flower from a video but I can't remember who did the video.  So easy!  I am sure I will make many more of them, but may not use too many of them on cards because I usually try to keep my cards fairly flat for mailing.

Stamps:  Full of Blessings
Paper:  tempting turquoise, pumpkin pie, real red dsp., water color paper
Ink:  black stazon
Extras:  markers and blender pen for coloring, chevron embossing folder, corner punch, 1 1/4" scallop circle punch

CCMC213 and Nacho Average Challenge #6

Double duty today.  I used the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary and the color challenge from Nacho Average Challenge.  I noticed a lot of the sketches this week have horizontal strips of paper on them.  I like how they can really dress up a card.  My flower was punched with the blossom punch 2 times and the new 1 1/4" scallop punch 1 time.  I distressed the pieces and separated the layers so I had 6 layers to work with.

Stamps:  None!
Paper: sahara sand, rich razzleberry, lucky limeade, floral district dsp, night of navy dsp
Ink:  rich razzleberry, lucky limeade
Extras:  blossom punch, 1 1/4" scallop punch, build a blossom punch, finishing touch edgelits, neutral designer button

CCMC 207 and CCMC-NC1

Before I got my card done for the Create with Connie & Mary sketch challenge, I found this color challenge on the paid subscription site for the new catalog.  I decided to combine the two challenges together.  I used some Comfort Cafe dsp and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and that wonderful pool party ruffled ribbon.  I made a 3D flower with a new natural button and a large pearl center to round out my card.

TSSC225 and CCMC206 Combined!

For the Birds is the cutest stamp set!  Love all the sweet images.

This card works for the Monday Lunchtime sketch and for the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge.  Had a really tough time getting a halfway decent photo even though using a lightbox.  Editing doesn't help a whole lot either.  Reds always seem to look more orange than they should and greens always look more gray.  Maybe it is my monitor!  Maybe they look just right on other screens (I can hope, huh?).

CCMC205 Happy You

It has been a long time since I have done a challenge from Create with Connie & Mary!  Not because I didn't want to, though.  I love this sketch and now that school is out I have a little more time to do some challenges.

I have used some retired Nursery Nest dsp and the Happy You stamp set from the new catalog.  I chose to do a baby card in honor of my first grandchild who will arrive mid December.  I am very excited!

CCMC160 and CRU#40

This card takes care of 2 challenges--Create with Connie and Mary sketch and color challenge from Color Roundup.  There is just something about this chair and flower image from Cherish Friendship that really gets to me.  Kind of a nostalgic feeling.

SC349 and CCMC158

I haven't done a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers for a long time.  Don't know why really...just haven't gotten around to it I guess.  This card is for SC340 and also for the color challenge found at Create with Connie and Mary.

I used Just Believe and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

CCMC157 and Stamping 411 160

This little CAS card takes care of 2 challenges--Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge and Stamping 411 color challenge.  I used 2 cool summer stamp sets, Sunny Fun and Summer Splash to create this card.  I add some sparkle with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol and spritzed onto the card base and pacific point scalloped layer.  Very shimmery IRL!

SFF062411 and CCMC156

This is my second post today!  My other post is HERE.

This card uses a sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday and a color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  I had a really hard time getting a good photo of this one.  Even using a lightbox and taking a dozen shots!

Printed Petals was the stamp set I used and the dsp is Paisley Petals.

Found a wonderful sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.  I used Summer Splash to stamp my images.  It is a really cute set for summer cards.

CCMC-SUM04 Proud Peacock

I used some older Stampin' Up products on my card today.  There is a little of the old taken with teal ink and cardstock and that strip of dsp is from the Welcome Neighbor pack.  There is also a little bit of elegant eggplant on there. That wonderful peacock is from Proud Peacock.  Isn't he glorious?  I added just a little watercoloring to his wings.

I used a sketch from Create with Connie and Mary (a subscriber-only site).  They have lots of wonderful projects in this 5-week session.  You really should check them out.

If it seems like all I am making lately is birthday cards, well that is because my neighbor gave me a list of all the birthday cards she needs for the next 3 months.  I try to keep embellishments to a minimum so they won't cost her anymore in postage.  Also, CAS is my favorite style.

CCMC151 Sail Away!

This is for the sketch at Create with Connie & Mary Summer Edition.  It is a subscription site with lots of fun and exciting projects and tutorials for each.  And, Connie, I really didn't CASE your card.  I am sure I glanced at the examples when I found this sketch, but when I went downstairs to stamp I didn't have your card in front of me.
I actually was going to use this card for the color challenge, also.  But I forgot to use Early Espresso!  So I guess I will just have to make another card for it.

Thanks for looking!
