DC15 Soul Scrappers Challenge-Collage page

The Soul Scrappers challenge is to make a collage page using several photos with one word to tell the story and the date the photos were taken. I fudged a little on the one word part!. I took these pics of my daffodils this spring.  This page was created in MDS. I used one of the photos for my background paper. This is a very simple page but I rather like it. I use the CAS style most of the time.

My new Fairy Garden in MDS

I chose to do an MDS layout from a sketch found here.  I bought some things for a new fairy garden when I went to Amish Country the other day.  I had made a small one last summer and added a couple things to it, also.  My new garden is a lot bigger than the first one and I have no idea how we are going to get it inside for the winter.  Guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it!

Have a great day!

Artistic Etchings

My card today uses the Artistic Etchings stamp set and the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.  I stamped the crown in Baja Breeze and the Eiffel Tower and Amour in Cherry Cobbler.  I sponged Crumb Cake on the edges of the panel.  I ran the Cherry Cobbler cardstock through my big kick with the embossing folder. I wrapped Basic Black satin ribbon around that. I stamped the medallion onto the Crumb Cake base with Crumb Cake ink, then adhered them together as seen in the photo.  I think I rather like this color combo.

My color coach comes in with my order that is due tomorrow.  Then I won't have to think so hard to come up with a color combo.  Haha

Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day!

CAS74 Because I Care

Today's Clean and Simple challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com was create a card from a picture of a cake from Carrie's CakesThis is the photo I chose to use.  I finally put some ink to the hydrangea from Because I Care. I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black. I watercolored it with ink refills in Pretty in Pink and Garden Green. I matted this layer with Basic Black. I used the swirls texture plate on a layer of Whisper White and matted it on Basic Black after I wrapped a black grosgrain ribbon and bow around it.  I mounted the image panel onto the swirls panel with dimensionals and mounted all onto a Whisper White card base.  I rather like the way it turned out and hope you do, too! Thanks for looking.

Until next time, happy stamping!
