MDS Monday 101 Put It on a Tilt

MDS Monday 100

It is hard to believe that MDS Monday has reached the 100 mark!  I chose #41 for my sketch.  I wanted several photo boxes.  I have to admit the pics aren't all that great.  Getting really hard to get good pics of this little girl.  She is constantly moving and then when she does pose, she throws her head back and gives a silly smile!  Gotta love her!

The challenge at MDS Monday was to make a chalkboard page.  Sounded like fun to me so I gave it a shot.  I love the pics of my granddaughter opening up her presents.  They are very colorful so the blackboard background goes well with them.

Happy New Year! & MDS Monday 95

It has been a long time since I have participated in a challenge.  But I only have 5 more months until retirement from my job at school.  So excited to be entering a new phase of my life.  One thing I plan to do is put more effort in my card making and Stampin' Up.  And I want to do more challenges!

I had a little time last night while waiting for the ball to drop and created a page for MDS Monday 95.

My granddaughter had a lot of fun opening her gifts this year!  She just turned 2 a few days earlier and so had lots of practice.

MDS Monday challenged us to put a photo in "grouped photo boxes" and then as a twist to leave one part colored and make the rest black and white.  Then offset the colored part to make it stand out.  Here is my sweet granddaughter playing with one of her stuffed animals.

MDSM70 - Going in Circles

MDS Monday has us going in circles!  We could use other shapes, but I like to use circles, so I went with that.  It works well with the theme of this page, too.  My granddaughter loves pickles.  My girls never ate pickles when they were little.  Maybe because I never would have thought it was something a toddler would like!  LOL!

The challenge at MDS Monday is to use overlays!  I love overlays so this one was fun for me.  I used 3 different overlays on the background--chevron (white), dots (pink) and flourishes (black).  I lowered the opacity on all of them.  Finished it off with my polaroid frame and lots of sequins.

Love the layout from MDS Monday this week!  I was shopping for an Easter dress for my granddaughter and sent this pic to my daughter so she could see the choices.  My favorite was the yellow and luckily it was her favorite, too!

It's been a long time since I have posted anything!  

Please excuse the blurry photo, but I couldn't resist using it anyway.  I had to shoot it very fast because she wouldn't leave the glasses on but a couple of seconds.  And it is a cute pic!

I used the sketch from MDS Monday.  I matched the dsp borders to the colors in the photo as much as possible.

MDS Monday's challenge for this week was to use watercolor on our project.  I chose to use the freeform tool to create my watercoloring.  I created 3 layers with different opacities and layered them onto each other.   I used spring colors hoping it will help get through this cold and snowy winter!  Hurry up, Spring!

Happy New Year (a little late!)

I really been remiss with my blog lately!  Let's just say 2013 was not the best year of my life and leave it at that.  I'm trying to put it all behind me and hoping for a great 2014!

I made a page for MDS Monday 47 last week and was pretty happy with it.  But when I went to blog it and enter it in the challenge....internet was down!  And I forgot to go back and take care of it!  I decided I would go ahead and show it here anyway.

And, of course, my subject is my VERY FAVORITE (and only!) granddaughter.  Until she came along most of my scrapbooking was of my cats!  But this little girl is so much more fun!  Christmas was much more fun this year.  Last year she was only 11 days old.  So Grammy had a good time buying gifts this year.
