CCMC-SUM02

Another graduation card (my second today!).  This one is for my niece.  And if her mother sees it, I hope she doesn't let her see it until she receives it.  LOL I did that once with my daughter's birthday card.  Didn't even think about that until she called me laughing about it.

The colors on her announcement were blue and silver so I went with those.  My brushed silver cardstock looks gray in the pic.  I also used some silver embossing powder on the arrow in the sentiment and put it on dimensionals.  I also used this card for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition.  I needed my middle panel to be wider rather than taller so I turned the sketch on it's side.

Graduation Card 1

This was made for a wonderful young lady from my church who is graduating next Sunday.  Our school colors are red, white and blue (very patriotic!).  I used the retired brilliant blue because it matches our color better than anything we have now. I also used the retired Go Graduate along with the sentiment from Word Play.  I hope she likes it!

Sunny Fun - 'Just For Fun'

I got some time to stamp 'just for fun' the other night.  I used the cute little kids from Sunny Fun.  This is such a fun stamp set.  I stamped the image onto whisper white and colored with a combination of markers, watercolor crayons and blender pen.  I wish I had used watercolor paper.  I could have done a much better job on the coloring.  I used some stickles on the water to make it sparkle.

CCMC151 Sail Away!

This is for the sketch at Create with Connie & Mary Summer Edition.  It is a subscription site with lots of fun and exciting projects and tutorials for each.  And, Connie, I really didn't CASE your card.  I am sure I glanced at the examples when I found this sketch, but when I went downstairs to stamp I didn't have your card in front of me.
I actually was going to use this card for the color challenge, also.  But I forgot to use Early Espresso!  So I guess I will just have to make another card for it.

Fabulous Florets

I found a tutorial from Andrea Walford of Paper Crafters Library for this card. It is a pocket card with an insert (the top note shape) to put your sentiment on or you could attach a gift card on the insert.  I used the Fabulous Florets stamp set and some dsp from SU.  I love these bright colors. I used the new melon mambo embossing powder on watercolor paper for the flowers.

Plane and Simple

My card was CASEd from this card from Heartfelt Inkspirations by Debra Burgin. It is not really too different from Debra's card, but, I made some very minor changes, different ribbon on panel, circle instead of oval for main image, and real rickrack.  Thanks, Debra, for the inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Open Sea

Some of my stampers requested some masculine cards.  This is one that I came up with.  I love this set!  I used some sponging and spritzing to go with the vintage look of the stamps.  I also addes some the new baker's twine found in the Summer Mini catalog.
